Gobble Guide – Terms of Use

Welcome to Gobble Guide (“the App”). Gobble Guide is a user-generated content (UGC) mobile application that allows users to create, upload, share, and interact with recipe posts. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must:

Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country).
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and platform rules (Google Play Store and Apple App Store policies).

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate account information.
Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Be responsible for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these Terms.

3. User-Generated Content (UGC)

3.1 Ownership of Your Content

You retain ownership of the recipes, images, text, and other content (“Content”) you create and upload.

3.2 License You Grant to Us

By uploading Content to Gobble Guide, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

Store, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your Content within the App.
Promote the App using your Content (e.g., screenshots, previews).
Make your Content available to other users according to your privacy settings.

This license ends when you delete your Content or your account, except:

Copies that may remain in backups for a limited time.
Content shared by other users (e.g., when another user has saved your recipe).

3.3 Your Responsibilities

You agree that your Content must not:

Violate copyright, trademarks, or other rights of any person or entity.
Contain harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal material.
Include misinformation about health, nutrition, or food safety.
Include advertisements, spam, scams, or promotional content.
Contain malware or attempt to disrupt the App.

3.4 Content Moderation

We reserve the right (but are not obligated) to:

Review, moderate, or remove Content that violates these Terms or platform policies.
Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate rules.

Content moderation may be automated, manual, or both.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

Misuse the App for unlawful purposes.
Create fake accounts or impersonate others.
Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the App’s code or security.
Use bots or automated tools to scrape or interact with the App.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination.

5. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, text, code, and design elements belonging to Gobble Guide remain our exclusive property.
You may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the App without permission.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy describes:

What information we collect.
How we store and protect it.
How it is used to operate the App.

By using the App, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

7. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (If Applicable)

Some features may be offered as paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. By making a purchase:

All billing is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Refunds follow the policies of the platform and not Gobble Guide.
Subscription cancellations must be done through your device’s subscription settings.

8. Third-Party Services

Gobble Guide may integrate with third-party services such as:

Firebase
Analytics tools
Payment processors (e.g., Google Play Billing, Apple In-App Purchases, RevenueCat)

Each third-party service has its own terms and privacy policy.
We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

9. App Availability & Disclaimer

Gobble Guide is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee:

The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
That all UGC is accurate, complete, or safe.
That data loss will never occur.

You use the App at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gobble Guide and its creators are not liable for:

Losses arising from inaccurate UGC.
Any injury, damage, or loss caused by recipes or food preparation.
Data loss, security breaches, or unauthorized access.
Use or inability to use the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your access if:

You violate these Terms.
We are required to do so by law.
The App is discontinued.

You may stop using the App at any time.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made:

The “Last Updated” date will be adjusted.
Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
