Gobble Guide – Content Moderation Policy

Gobble Guide is a user-generated content (UGC) platform where users can create, upload, and share recipes. To maintain a safe, respectful, and useful experience for all, we enforce the following Content Moderation Policy.
This policy explains how content is evaluated, moderated, reported, and removed.
1. Overview
Gobble Guide allows users to post:
- Recipes
- Photos of food
- Ingredients lists
- Cooking instructions
- Optional notes and meal planning content
To protect the community, all content must follow our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and the rules defined in this policy.

2. Prohibited Content
The following types of content are not allowed on Gobble Guide and may be removed without warning.

- Encourages violence or physical harm
- Shows or suggests dangerous food practices

- Recipes encouraging consumption of raw meat or unsafe food handling without proper disclaimers
- Instructions involving illegal substances

- Encourages harassment
- Uses slurs or degrading language
Examples:
- Harassing comments on a recipe
- Offensive captions or descriptions
2.3 Explicit or Adult Content
Gobble Guide is not an adult-content platform.
Prohibited:
- Nudity
- Sexualized images
- Suggestive or explicit descriptions
2.4 Violence or Graphic Content
Content may not include:
- Graphic violence
- Images of injury
- Depictions of cruelty
2.5 Spam, Scams & Misleading Content
This includes:
- Repeated posting of promotional content
- Attempting to sell goods or services
- Misleading recipes, false claims, or deceptive nutritional information
- Links to unsafe or malicious websites
2.6 Copyright-Infringing Content
Users must not post:
- Content copied from other creators without permission
- Images they do not own
- Recipes from copyrighted cookbooks, websites, or apps unless they are original or sufficiently adapted
2.7 Malware or Technical Abuse
Includes:
- Uploading malicious files
- Attempting to disrupt normal use of the app
- Using bots, scrapers, or automation tools
3. Restricted Content
Certain content is allowed but may require moderation or warnings.
3.1 Sensitive Diet or Health Information
Allowed with restrictions:
- Recipes promoting diets (keto, vegan, etc.)
- Nutrition-related tips
Not allowed:
- Medical claims (“This recipe cures diabetes”)
- Unsafe practices (“Eat this to replace medication”)
We may add disclaimers or remove content.
3.2 Potential Food Safety Risks
Recipes that may involve:
- Raw eggs
- Raw seafood
- Uncooked ingredients
may be flagged and reviewed.
If necessary, a food safety notice will be displayed or the content may be removed.
4. Moderation Process
Content moderation happens through one or more of the following:
4.1 Automated Moderation Tools
The app may use automated systems to detect:
- Offensive language
- Spam
- Adult content
- Copyright violations
- Known unsafe patterns
Automated actions may include:
- Hiding content
- Marking content for review
- Blocking uploads
4.2 Manual Review
Our moderation team reviews:
- Reported content
- Content flagged by automated tools
- Accounts showing suspicious behavior
Moderators may:
- Remove content
- Issue warnings
- Restrict account features
- Suspend or ban accounts
4.3 User Reporting
Users can report:

When a report is submitted:
- It enters our moderation queue
- A moderator reviews it

- The reporting user may receive a confirmation message
5. Enforcement Actions
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, the following may occur:

- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account ban
- Deletion of all content
- Limitation of features (such as commenting or posting)
Severe violations (e.g., illegal content, hate speech) may result in immediate permanent suspension.
6. Appeal Process
If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may file an appeal.

- The content in question
- Reason for appeal
A moderator will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Transparency
We aim to be transparent by:
- Displaying warnings if content violates guidelines

- Providing clear reasons for moderations actions wherever possible
8. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated occasionally.
- Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date
- Continued use of Gobble Guide means acceptance of any updated policies
